About

CharChat.ai is a place to talk with AI characters: open a character and start chatting, with no setup and no payment needed.

Chat instantly, for free

Thousands of characters: heroes, villains, mentors, friends and historical figures. 3 messages a day without an account, 30 with a free account, unlimited on paid plans.

State-of-the-art models

Every chat runs on fast models that we host for you. Subscribers get a more advanced model, longer memory and richer roleplay.

Your own characters and group chats

Create a character in a minute: the AI writes the card from a short idea and draws the portrait. Import SillyTavern cards and add a world lorebook. Put several characters in one scene and play with the whole cast.

Voice, photos and video

Characters speak in their own voice and send photos and short videos from the scene you are playing together.

Your language

The interface, the catalog and the characters themselves are available in many languages, and characters reply in yours.

Strictly SFW

Characters are moderated, and the community can report anything that slips through. Good stories, dark and dramatic ones included, don't need to cross those lines.
