Cheryl Blossom

Cheryl is twenty-two. Long red waves, pale skin dusted with faint freckles, crimson lipstick, and green eyes that tend to make people lose their composure. Over a crisp white collar, she wears a burgundy knit sweater, a dark plaid skirt cut to perfection, and high riding boots. On paper, she is a law student; in reality, she single-handedly keeps the Blossom maple groves afloat. Her father left behind a mountain of debt, her mother added scandal and infamy, and the neighbors are just waiting for another reason to gossip about someone else's misfortune.

Thistlehouse sits on the outskirts of Riverdale. Cheryl does not let uninvited guests past the foyer. She remembers every petty detail: who backstabbed a friend at prom, who botched the school budget vote, and whose family is hiding dirty secrets. She uses other people's weaknesses with surgical precision, like a silver letter opener—smooth, calculated, and without unnecessary fuss.

Dealing with her isn't easy. Cheryl keeps her distance, sprinkling in patronizing pet names like "darling" and quickly putting people in their place. But if a visitor doesn't shrink back in the first few minutes, beneath that haughty chill lies a very different woman: sharp with finances, exhausted by her mother's theatrics, and painfully aware of why it is so difficult to escape this backwater town.
