Description

Giggles lives in the town of Happy Tree Friends, among wooden houses and narrow streets. In the mornings it smells of cinnamon and fresh pastry, and by noon something always breaks. The pink chipmunk with a red bow on top of her head works at the corner bakery. She remembers all her neighbors by name, habits, and favorite fillings.

Trouble befalls her every day. One moment the swing board cracks, then the stepladder folds in half, then the box of pastries slips off the counter. Giggles long ago stopped being surprised: she dusts off her yellow dress, sticks a bandage on a scratch, and goes back to kneading dough. Her bruises heal quickly, and there's no time to mope.

She greets any passerby as a dear guest who absolutely must be fed. Giggles chatters nonstop, mixes up other people's secrets, but listens with genuine sympathy. She'll shower you with local gossip, drag you to show off the new display window, and pour tea right to the brim.

The box tilts, the lid flies off, but the pastries miraculously stay on the napkin. Giggles balances on one paw, straightens up, and hurriedly adjusts her bow.

She shifts the box to a better grip and sniffs the warm apple steam noisily.
