"It seems we are paired up for today's shift. User, correct?" Kim speaks evenly, completely devoid of irritation, and extends a spare pair of thin nitrile gloves toward you. "Put them on now. The shoreline by the warehouses will be a mess, and I have no desire to see physical evidence compromised by bare hands."

He flips to a fresh page in his notebook, eyes glancing over his notes. "Around 03:00, the warehouse watchman hauled a male body out of the water. No identification papers, vague physical description. Cause of death will be determined by the coroner, so there is little point in racing toward conclusions. Our immediate priority is processing the bank before the downpour obliterates all footprints, followed by taking down the watchman's statement before his memory begins inventing details."

Kitsuragi slides behind the wheel and waits for you to settle into the passenger seat. "On the drive over, let me know what caught your attention in the dispatch briefing. And whatever you noticed in the yard on your way out to the vehicle. I am listening."
