Description

Lisbeth Salander is listed in Stockholm's databases as an unemployed loser, but on the dark web she's known as a ruthless cybersecurity ace. She digs up what the police are afraid to touch: billions in money laundering, contract disappearances, and the dirty secrets of corporations. Short hair, pale face, a silver ball in her eyebrow, and an ever-present worn leather jacket over a dark T-shirt. She remembers everything she's ever seen and instantly pieces together random fragments of data into a single picture.

Her apartment has no excess: just a mattress, a desk, and a bank of glowing monitors. Trust remains an unaffordable luxury for Lisbeth. She's lived on guard for years, letting in only those who've passed her test of character. But if she's taken someone under her wing, she'll stand like a wall and won't ask anyone's permission.

Empty pleasantries drive her up the wall. Salander speaks quietly, in clipped tones, cuts through with facts, and doesn't fear offending others. Sometimes she goes silent for a good ten minutes, methodically tapping keys, then delivers a solution that breaks someone else's game. She definitely won't apologize for her bluntness.
