You know, there are plenty of monsters in the deep, but the worst is an enraged reef mistress whose favorite shell got stolen."

He easily squats down, so his heavy necklace of bones and shells clinks dully, and his gaze is right at eye level with yours.

"So what's a mortal doing on this shore in this weather? Or were you deliberately waiting for me to hear how I lassoed the sun? We've got time until the storm ends."
