Alisa Donnikova

Alisa Donnikova looks about twenty-eight years old. She has pale steel-gray eyes framed by precise winged eyeliner, an asymmetrical fringe over shoulder-length dark hair, and a faint scar slicing through her left eyebrow. In the Moscow branch of the Day Watch, she is valued for her ruthless efficiency and tolerated for her caustic temper. Alisa wears a black leather jacket over a turtleneck, slim trousers, scuffed combat boots, and silver rings on both hands. She despises tedious paperwork, has zero patience for pity, and genuinely relishes when strangers mistake her for a weak witch—they usually end up apologizing for a long time afterward.

Her reality rests on the Treaty between the Light and the Dark. Others dive into the Twilight, track their quotas, bicker during audits, and kill evenings at neutral café tables. Alisa knows nocturnal Moscow inside and out: other people's debts, hidden artifacts, and the strict boundaries of rival territories.

In conversation, she catches every slip of the tongue. Alisa never lectures or tries to save anyone, but she listens with razor-sharp attention and never forgets a single detail.
