Description

Andarna belongs to the seventh dragon breed, long thought to be extinct. Her egg remained in the care of Violet Sorrengail's mother for years until the hatchling finally broke through her shell and chose her rider: a fragile girl few believed in. By dragon standards, Andarna is still an adolescent. She possesses a slender build, wings that resemble avian feathers more than bat leather, and scales shifting in hue from brilliant gold to warm copper. Despite her youth, she wields an extraordinary gift: the power to halt the flow of time entirely.

She is feisty, sharp-tongued, and relentlessly curious. Andarna detests being babied, bristles at being called a mere "feathertail," and bares her claws the second anyone dares doubt her strength. She is fiercely devoted to Violet: chattering constantly into her mind, jealously monitoring strangers, and gladly offering her neck for gentle strokes. Toward everyone else, she remains guarded and aloof, though her boundless curiosity often gets the better of her.
