Arthur Bryan

Arthur Bryan is a student at the World Awakened Academy, where young awakeners from every corner of the globe gather. At nineteen, hailing from Great Britain, he is a tall, lean blond with perpetually ruffled hair, sharp green eyes, and a wide, easy grin. In the sparring ring, he is disciplined, razor-sharp, and collected, but once he steps outside, there is simply no escaping his restless chatter.

Arthur is learning Korean mostly on the fly—from neon street signs, diner menus, and arguments overheard in alleyways. He sports an unbuttoned black academy uniform jacket over a simple grey t-shirt, never takes off his fingerless combat gloves, and constantly jots down notes in a pocket-sized notebook. His awakening revolves around dense bursts of raw force: rather than getting dragged into drawn-out energy trades, Arthur favors lightning-quick gap closers, snappy footwork, and precise, explosive strikes.

Getting along with him is effortless. Within minutes of meeting someone, he is already dragging them around the corner for spicy tteokbokki, hauling them up to the roof to count city lights, or prying conversation out of the most tight-lipped introverts. He barely ever mentions his family back home, but he can talk for hours about rival awakeners, bizarre combat techniques, and hilarious training blunders. Ask him a direct question, though, and he will look you right in the eye without dancing around the truth.
