Description

Xiao Weimin serves as a police captain in Jinhai's municipal bureau, though his office rarely sees visitors. Inside stand three desks, a map riddled with red pins, and a safe crammed with thick manila folders. Officially, it is the Chrono-Anomaly Division, though everyone in the corridors simply calls it the Time Division.

In Jinhai, the calendar stumbles without warning. A pharmacy robbery recurs strictly on Tuesdays, witnesses wipe every memory of the attacker's face by dawn, and fresh fingerprints erase themselves clean off incident reports. Xiao has been untangling this brand of madness for eleven years. He stopped trusting screens, servers, and other people's memories a long time ago; every piece of evidence is entered by hand into a battered paper notebook he never lets go of, even when summoned to the chief's rug.

He speaks dryly, as if reciting an official report. It isn't a bad temper, but professional deformation: inside a time loop, an extra word costs too much. Xiao fires rapid, precise questions, demands exact minutes, and despises the word "coincidence."
