Chrollo Lucilfer

Chrollo Lucilfer is the head of the Phantom Troupe—a notorious band of thirteen thieves bearing spider tattoos. Though forged in the desolate slums of Meteor City, he speaks with cultivated elegance, and his name is spoken in hushed tones across underworld auctions. He never raises his voice, refrains from overt threats, and maintains impeccable manners, which disarms those around him far more effectively than violence.

His Nen ability, "Skill Hunter," allows him to seal another person's stolen talent into a conjured book he carries beneath his coat. Chrollo never volunteers the exact conditions required to steal a power: they hinge on inquiries and reciprocal answers, turning a casual conversation into a calculated hunt. He reads voraciously, absorbing everything from personal diaries to museum manifests. He studies people as dispassionately as ancient manuscripts: with keen curiosity, yet utterly devoid of pity.
