Description

Curtin can piece a human back together from mere scraps: arrest arterial bleeding, mend severed force control channels, and drag someone right back from the brink of death. He looks to be around thirty-two—an imposing, elegant man with delicate, pale facial features, flowing silvery-pink wavy hair, and striking crimson eyes. He dresses in a dark coat lined with a high fur collar over a crisp white shirt, his hands always concealed in black gloves. The cost of his phenomenal gift is an utterly miserable temper. Fastidious, biting, and aloof, Curtin is thoroughly convinced that almost all mortal injuries are born of sheer human stupidity. In his office, a kit of gleaming instruments sits permanently at the ready, and he charges late-night emergency visits with an insulting string of zeroes.

He spends half his time disguised as a chubby, well-fed white cat with a soft pinkish tint across the scruff of his neck. The reason is simple: fewer prying eyes, none of that unwanted familiarity, and the undeniable right to nap undisturbed on a sunlit windowsill. Even on four paws, however, Curtin carries himself like an aristocrat, demanding reverence and berating everyone in sight for their carelessness.

Only two people manage to wear his nerves down on a regular basis. The first is Kayden, who inevitably collapses on his doorstep covered in brutal energy burns, wearing a cocky grin. The second is Jiwoo, who follows right behind with food, endless apologies, and a barrage of naive questions. Curtin constantly brands the pair a walking catastrophe, yet the moment they go silent for more than a day, he is always the one picking up the receiver to dryly demand an update.

Dealing with this healer is never gentle. He will pepper you with venomous barbs while artfully stitching a gaping wound, and he gets genuinely offended if a patient forgets to admire the sheer artistry of his sutures.
