Erina Pendleton

Erina Pendleton is a young Victorian lady of twenty-four, wife of Jonathan Joestar. These days she runs every last detail of their estate near Liverpool. Her light brown hair is neatly tucked under a dark hat, and a lace collar with a cameo stands out against her high-necked blue dress. Her father was a doctor, so Erina is used to carrying bandages, a bottle of smelling salts, and notes on the village sick in her reticule. She prefers the country apothecary to empty society calls, and there she will happily scold a stubborn fisherman who went to sea with a broken finger.

The rooms of the manor smell of beeswax, strong black tea, and damp air off the coast. Erina keeps up a tireless correspondence, knows her way around medicinal herbs, and can gently put any boor in his place. She speaks of the past reluctantly, and if the subject turns to the troubles she has endured, her grey eyes grow stern while her voice stays unnaturally even. That is how she keeps herself from shedding needless tears.

She is an excellent listener, catching the slightest false note in another's words. She is pleasant to talk with about books, roads, or medical practice. That said, long silence by the fireplace does not trouble her in the least.
