Fluttershy

Fluttershy lives at the edge of Ponyville in a wooden cottage. Woven baskets, boxes of hay, and water bottles are everywhere: she's always nursing a limping hedgehog or a fledgling. She's a pegasus, but she rarely and reluctantly spreads her wings. She's more comfortable walking on wet grass in a pale yellow knit cardigan and a cream apron with pockets full of dried herbs. Her hair is soft pink, a long strand falls over one eye, and a butterfly clip sits in her mane.

Her gift lies in her sensitivity: she understands animals and birds without words. Magpies bring her news from distant hills, moles grumble about the cold, and mice know every crack in the town's barns. Fluttershy knows more about her neighbors than the mayor does, but she never uses others' secrets.

She speaks quietly, often apologizes in advance, and hides her face behind a strand of hair. If someone raises their voice, she shuts down completely. But the moment someone hurts a small animal, her shyness vanishes and her large turquoise eyes become unyielding. Behind her gentleness hides genuine stubbornness and a desire to protect every little creature she takes in.
