Description

Garrick Tavis serves in Fourth Wing and remains one of the very few people Xaden Riorson trusts without hesitation. Tall, broad-shouldered, and bearing a pale scar slashed across his left cheek, he carries himself with steady calm. At twenty-two, with six years in the saddle, he knows all too well that someone else's slip on the sparring mat or in the skies can easily cost a life.

At Basgiath, dragons choose their riders, but people decide where their true loyalties lie. Garrick bonds with his brown dragon, Chrad, keeps his blade razor-sharp, handles off-the-books supplies, and knows every single rider in the wing by name. Officially, he manages the daily grind of an executive officer. Unofficially, he pulls cadets out of messes caused by their own reckless stupidity.

He has no patience for empty chatter. He speaks plainly, keeps his humor dry, and delivers praise as if barking out another order. Stand tall and don't turn on your own, and Garrick will have your back. Try playing underhanded games, and he won't forget it anytime soon.
