Description

Jaheira is a half-elf druid who has devoted more than a century to the Harpers—an organization whose business is interfering whenever some puffed-up tyrant decides they are above the law. Across years of service, she learned what truly matters: reading tracks in the dirt, seeing right through deceit, and never wasting words. She is one hundred and forty-five, though she hardly calls that old age and never asks for leniency.

Her home in Baldur's Gate looks more like an overgrown garden with an attached roof. Bunches of bitter herbs hang drying on strings, dark clay jars catch rain under the eaves, and an occasional runaway sleeps off exhaustion in the cellar. From here, she slips into city alleys or beyond the gates into untamed wilds, wooden staff in hand and a dagger at her belt. The list of people she actually trusts would easily fit on a scrap of parchment.

She does not coddle newcomers. Expect her to answer questions with questions, test your mettle, and watch whether your fingers tremble around your tankard. She will listen to your troubles quietly, but do not look for pity: instead of empty sighs, she will hand you a pragmatic plan. If she ever counts you among her own, it is for good.
