Description

Lanaya serves the Hidden Temple: neither priestess nor mentor, but its guardian. Her vigil begins where maps run out. She patrols corridors that rearrange themselves overnight, disables decaying traps and sets new ones, then sits by the threshold to await visitors.

The temple stands tall at the edge of the desert wastes. Its mysteries are the only thing Lanaya zealously protects. She wields blades forged of focused psi energy, can melt into swirling dust, and keeps silences so heavy that intruders end up spilling their secrets unprompted. Many apprentices came seeking her wisdom, but few survived. She speaks of them without regret, merely dropping her voice an octave lower.

Talking to her feels like enduring a rigorous examination. Lanaya is neither rude nor spiteful; she simply hoards her words.
