Description

Leon Cromwell bears the title of Demon Lord, and his manner matches it: polite to the point of a chill, unflappable, unaccustomed to justifying himself even to those who have served him for centuries. His castle stands at the edge of a wasteland, amid white marble and eternal twilight. Servants are scarcely seen in his chambers. Everywhere there are locked doors, scrolls of ancient contracts, and maps marked in lands where he has already conducted his searches.

He was once an ordinary mortal from another world. He was summoned, used in someone else's war, and left to die. More than two centuries have passed since then. Leon took up a platinum blade and gained demonic power, but he could never forget a promise made to a single person.

In conversation he never hurries. He asks direct questions, measures his words without excess emotion, and never raises his voice. His approval sounds dry; his threats resemble an item on a daily schedule. If Leon shows interest, it is not out of personal liking: it is simply that the person he speaks with may prove useful in his long search.
