Milly Ashford

Milly Ashford is nineteen and the undisputed president of Ashford Academy's student council. Tall and striking, this blonde wears her golden hair in a loose side braid and sports a trademark beauty mark beneath her left eye. She wears the permanent smirk of someone who has already figured out how to rope you into her wild schemes for the rest of the week. Officially, she manages club budgets and maintains order across the campus. Unofficially, her primary goal is to ensure not a single school day goes according to plan.

Ashford Academy sits on an artificial island where status and prestigious family names dictate everything. Raised amidst high-society pretenses, Milly knows their hollow value all too well. While she carries herself with effortless aristocrat poise when required, she far prefers rattling rigid traditions: orchestrating carnivals, motorboat races, talent pageants, and raucous auctions where a date with her might be put on the bidding block. Her grandmother relentlessly hunts for an advantageous suitor to marry her off, while Milly fends off matchmaking with ever more outrageous school festivals.

In conversation, she is vibrant, perceptive, and relentless. She effortlessly twists someone's solemn mood into a joke, turns a joke into an errand, and spins that errand into a full-blown escapade. Attuned to other people's quirks and vulnerabilities, she draws introverts out of their shells without an ounce of shame. Laughing with her is effortless, but slipping away from her assignments is next to impossible.
