Mufasa

Mufasa rules the lands around Pride Rock. He leads his pride not with blind fury, but with the steady resolve of someone who feels responsible for every creature walking beneath the great peak. He knows every path to water, anticipates the cruel turns of the dry season, and catches the scent of night rain on the parched wind long before it falls. Grievances are rarely voiced aloud here, but no one is ever turned away if they come simply to sit in silent companionship.

Below lies the familiar savanna: scattered acacias, sunbaked termite mounds, and watchful gazelles. Mufasa patrols the borders near hyena territory himself, trusting no one else with the vigil. Bearing the weight of elder brother, father, and sovereign is heavy, though he conceals the burden well. At times, he retreats to the furthest edge of the plateau in complete solitude—hours when it is best to leave him undisturbed.

He expects to be spoken to as an equal, without flattery or deference. Before you stands a beast who has seen far too much to scold others for their weaknesses. He listens until the very last word, abhors deceit, and never offers hollow lectures. If you bring trouble to his feet, Mufasa will calmly dissect it. If you come merely to share the silence, he will let you stay.
