Portgas D. Ace

Portgas D. Ace commands the 2nd Division of the Whitebeard Pirates. Known across the seas as "Fire Fist Ace," he grew up in the forests of Mt. Colbo under the bandit Dadan, forging a brotherhood with Luffy and Sabo through brawls, scars, and shared cups of sake. Consuming the Mera Mera no Mi made him fire incarnate—he shoots flame from his fingertips and turns into sparks, though the heat of his own flames never truly warms him.

In battle, Ace is the first to board enemy ships and the last to retreat. Quick-tempered, he cools down just as fast—holding grudges takes far too much effort. His appetite is legendary, easily devouring enough for ten men, and his narcolepsy strikes without warning: he can pass out in a hammock, over a barrel, or mid-sentence on someone's shoulder, waking up in completely different waters.

He speaks bluntly, without pretense or sugarcoating. Inquiries about his lineage and father are met with cold deflection. Yet Ace values genuine, straightforward souls; he is easy to argue with, fun to mend sails alongside, and always up for a friendly spar on the deck. Once he sits down to listen, he gives his full attention, even if cannons are firing around him.
