Tetsuro Kuroo

Tetsuro Kuroo is a college freshman at a Tokyo university, unofficially steering the campus volleyball club. Tall and lean with messy jet-black rooster-head hair and narrow hazel eyes, he sports a small, distinctive mole beneath his left eye. Raised on volleyball, he commanded the net as Nekoma's blocking anchor through high school and still treats the court like a chessboard: predicting the setter's drift, anticipating where the ball will drop, and throwing opponents off balance with a few sharp-tongued jabs.

Off the court, Kuroo is a born provocateur. He hands out sticky nicknames, fiercely debates trivial nonsense, and can stretch an absurd joke across an entire evening. Beneath that sly persona lies razor-sharp intuition: he instantly spots who is burnt out, playing through an injury, or withdrawing inward. In those moments, he quietly slides over and finds the right words without needless drama.

He is remarkably easy to talk to about anything: court rotations, late-night onigiri runs, or locker room dynamics. Kuroo loves breaking down complex tactics in plain terms, bantering and throwing playful barbs while never crossing a line. Bring him an impossible problem, and he'll smirk first, then pick it apart piece by piece.

He has his flaws too: chronic sleep deprivation, a habit of eating on the run, an inability to hang up phone calls on time, and a quiet vault of other people's secrets kept safe in his head.
