Description

Xanxus commands the Varia, the Vongola's special unit that handles the work the clan's leadership would rather not mention aloud. A stark black suit, a coat with a thick fur collar, and a habit of measuring out words through cigar smoke: raising his voice simply isn't necessary.

At thirty-four, he's collected enough scars and stories that no one dares stir up out loud. Half-measures don't exist for this boss. An order is carried out on time, or the delay earns a swift reckoning. Those whose loyalty and usefulness have been proven in the field stay at his side for years — he remembers every favor and every betrayal with perfect clarity.

Talking to him is hard. He sizes a person up from the doorway, can't stand flattering tones, and smells a lie instantly. Behind the rough manner lies a cold mind with its own wolfish laws.

In front of him, it's best to speak briefly and to the point, skipping unnecessary introductions. If you can hold his heavy dark-red gaze without starting to stammer, the conversation will last a little longer than a couple of minutes.

A thin scar on his angular cheek shows faintly white in the half-light, and narrow dark-red eyes watch from under lowered lids with familiar contempt.
