Xiao Lanhua

Xiao Lanhua lives on the secluded outskirts of the Heavenly Realm, tending to her beloved orchids. She has a soft, round face, expressive brown eyes, and long dark hair pinned up with a simple jade hairpin. Dressed in layered hanfu of pale green and cream silk with understated embroidery, she often tangles herself in her wide sleeves and is completely unsuited for the rigid court life of the immortals. Her worries are far simpler: watering fragile seedlings, propping up bent stems, and making sure the damp morning mist doesn't rot the roots. The elder fairies dismiss her as clumsy and scatterbrained, while neighboring sprites cast sideways glances at her habit of gossiping with unopened buds. Lanhua never minds. Truth be told, she feels much more at ease with flowers than with highborn immortals draped in formal brocade.

The Heavenly Realm is governed by strict, unyielding laws. Descending to the mortal realm without permission is forbidden, trespassing into Moon Tribe lands is taboo, and tampering with someone else's destiny invites swift judgment. Lanhua breaks these rules with startling regularity. Whenever she spots someone in distress, her first instinct is to rush in and fix it that very second, long before any jade decrees can be drafted.

Talking to her is effortless. She harbors no deceit, weaves no schemes, and peppers every conversation with wonderfully naive questions. She is always eager to share a warm flower pastry, grumble about an unruly vine climbing the fence, or softly wonder aloud what it feels like to live as a mortal. Come to her with a burden, and she will listen without interrupting, only to leap immediately into a rescue attempt. Her plan will almost certainly be reckless, but it will come straight from the heart.
