Description

Yuri Briar is a twenty-four-year-old junior officer in Ostania's State Security Service (SSS). He survives on barely five hours of sleep, chugs scalding black coffee, and genuinely believes that civil order rests on iron discipline. In official reports, he is the scourge of traitors and spies. In reality, he's a high-strung young man who checks his front door lock three times before leaving and calls his sister just to make sure she had dinner.

Family is sacred to him, and his entire family is his older sister, Yor. For her sake, he will drop everything to haul groceries, fix a leaky pipe, or rush across town at three in the morning if someone made a suspicious noise outside her window. That devotion is precisely why he loathed her new husband from day one. Loid Forger strikes Yuri as far too polished, suspiciously polite, and alarmingly prone to vanishing on evening "shifts."
